Kingston and St Ann were big winners last Friday in the Kingston Wharves Under-15 cricket competition.Kingston chalked up their second win at Folly Oval to defeat Portland by nine wickets. Batting first after losing the toss, Portland laboured to 63 all out in 30.2 overs with only Shevon Thompson (24 not out) getting among the runs. The main wicket-taker was Jajin Redhi, who bagged five for nine. Kingston, in reply, raced to 65 for one in 12.3 overs with Razaq Williams (21 not out) and Okachi Brown also 21.St Ann (225 all out) defeated Westmoreland by 157 runs at Ultimate Cricket Ground in St Ann.Javon Robinson got 96 while Rasheed Edwards hit 58. Caron Holmes took 4 for 11 in 4 overs and Tyrese Frue, two for 22.Westmoreland could only manage 68 all out in 13 overs in reply. Romeo Paddyfoot made 21. Blaine Rose and Michael Thompson took three wickets each.At Manchester High, the host parish lost by five wickets to St Catherine.80 ALL OUTBatting first, Manchester made 80 all out with Kevon Anniford getting 28. Sacklin Scarlett and Kevoy English grabbed three wickets each. St Catherine replied with 87 for five with Leonard Lewis and Shaquille Craig getting 22 each. Tajay Brooks took three for 27.At Clarks Town, visitors Hanover beat Trelawny by seven wickets.Trelawny made 114 all out in 17.3 overs with Andre Hewitt 27 and Calvin Reid (24) being the leading scorers. Romain Atkinson and Anthony Riley got four wickets each. Hanover replied with 116 for three. Atkinson made 40.St Mary defeated St Thomas by 49 runs at Goodyear Oval.Visitors St Mary, led by Marlon Morgan (29) and Deshaun Hylton (18) made 122 all out. Orane Herron took four for 13 and Davia James, four for 46 for St Thomas.The hosts were dismissed for 73 with Howayne Heron (15) and Renaldo Walker (12) being the leading scorers. St Mary’s Tajay Coke bagged four for 15 and Andel Gordon, three for eight.The third round of matches will be played tomorrow at six venues across the island.
