Greensburg Police revise reserve officer program

first_imgGreensburg, In. — Greensburg police chief Brendan Bridges has revised the reserve officer program for the city.Reserve officers are certified police officers work less than 40-hours-per-week, have the authority to carry a weapon and make arrests. Reserve officers are required to complete at least 20 hours of training per month and can only work more than 12 hours in a shift in case of emergency.Reserve officer programs give police the ability to provide services to the public that may not otherwise be possible.last_img
