To find out who else could be signed by Manchester United and more United transfer deadline day news, click the arrow above for four more updates – Social media and live blogs are buzzing with talk of United swooping for their old nemesis, Arjen Robben, who stunned Old Trafford with a dramatic Champions League knockout winner in 2010. These rumours come from the Express, who cite “Fichajes” as the source (fichajes being Spanish for signings). Excuse us if we wait and see on this one. 3. Anthony Martial – the next Cristiano Ronaldo or Thierry Henry? – The Martial deal looks set to go through and, for an approximate £36m, it’s a huge fee for a teenager, but these comments from United hero Phil Neville, whose Valencia side faced Monaco in the Champions League qualifiers last week, will reassure and excite: “”He was unplayable at times. He has strength, pace, everything you could look for. “He kept drifting out to the left and causing us problems. Every time he got the ball your heart was in your mouth.” “He’s a proper signing. I think he’s a better bet than spending the same on Edinson Cavani or someone similar.” 5. David De Gea – late deal is touch and go – Spanish football expert Graham Hunter told talkSPORT De Gea to Real Madrid is far from a done deal, on the morning of deadline day, and he feels it won’t go through, but it’s going to be close! Stay tuned to talkSPORT to find out what happens. See what Hunter had to say about the De Gea deal here. 2. Marcos Rojo – staying or going? – The Manchester Evening News report that despite Rojo falling out of favour with Louis van Gaal over his pre-season preparation and alleged lack of fitness, the Argentine defender is determined to stay at Old Trafford. With Jonny Evans sold, there would seem to be no logic in the Red Devils selling a top class centre back at this late stage. 5 For Manchester United transfer news and transfer rumours on transfer deadline day, as the summer 2015 window closes, get all the latest from talkSPORT, online, on mobile and on air throughout the day. We’ve got an unrivalled mix of news, big names views, inside information and updates on transfer deadline day. Here, we take a look at the latest transfer rumours surrouding Manchester United.Take a look at the slideshow above and check out our live transfer blog here. 5 5 4. Marco Reus – swapping places with Januzaj? – Plenty of United fans are enjoying speculation that Reus could be on his way to Old Trafford, but this rumour seems to stem mostly from suggestions that Januzaj’s loan deal with the 2013 Champions League finalists could pave the way for a switch in the opposite direction. Former United and Stoke defender Danny Higginbotham, for example, waded in on Twitter, saying: “Like a lot of people are saying I wonder if Januzaj goes to Dortmund does that mean a possibility of MUFC getting Reus. Would be a good one.” He’s got that right, but let’s wait and see if there is any substance in this talk. 5 5last_img
